If you've signed into Voloco on a different device, you'll find that projects you created previously aren't in your library. Here's some information on what has happened and how to access your projects across devices.
Why did this happen?
Projects made in Voloco are saved to the app's data stored directly on your device. When you sign into the app on a new device, your projects remain stored on the original device used to create them unless you have Project Backups enabled.
Can I get my projects back?
If you have Voloco Premium or the Project Backup add-on (available in version 9.13 and later), your projects are automatically backed up to the cloud and can be restored on any device where you're signed in to your Voloco account. To restore your projects:
- Open Voloco on your new device
- Sign in to your Voloco account
- Go to Settings > Restore your backups
- Your cloud projects will be restored to your new device
If you don't have Project Backups enabled, these projects can only be recovered if you still have access to the device they were created on and Voloco has not been uninstalled from that device. Unfortunately, the projects cannot be recovered if you've wiped the device's data or no longer have access to it. They cannot be restored through a device backup, and our team cannot access the files stored on your device.
How can I keep this from happening again?
Project Backups (Recommended)
As of Voloco version 9.13, we offer automatic Project Backups for Voloco Premium subscribers and Project Backup add-on subscribers. When enabled, your projects are automatically saved to the cloud and accessible on any device where you're signed in.
- Voloco Premium: Up to 20 project backups
- Project Backup add-on: Up to 1,000 project backups
To enable Project Backups, go to Settings > Projects and confirm Auto Backup is turned on. For more information, see 'Cloud Project Backups in Voloco'.
Publish to Your Voloco Profile
The easiest way to ensure you can always listen to the songs you've made in the app is to publish them to your Voloco profile. Please note that this does not save the editable project to your device, but it does share the finished track to your Voloco profile, which means you can access it through your Voloco profile in the future. For more information on publishing to your Voloco profile, see 'How do I publish my tracks in the app?'
Download and Save to Cloud Storage
Another way to ensure you always have access to your songs is to download them as an audio file to your device and then save the file to Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox. This is particularly helpful if you want to access your songs across multiple devices. For more information on downloading your songs from Voloco, see 'How do I download my tracks?'
