Record Without Headphones - Now on Android
The improved recording without headphones feature introduced in iOS version 9.13 is now available on Android in version 9.14.
When you record using your phone's built-in microphone without a headset connected, Voloco now dramatically reduces backing track bleed in your vocal recordings. The backing track will still play through your speaker so you can hear it while recording—you'll just get a much cleaner vocal track as a result.
While we still recommend using a wired headset for the best recording quality, this improvement means you can now record spontaneous ideas when headphones aren't handy and get significantly cleaner results.
Note: If you would like to turn off this additional processing or are recording instruments other than a voice, you can do so in your project settings by toggling off "Optimize for Voice".
