Voloco 9.13 introduces cloud-based project backups and significantly cleaner vocal recordings when recording without headphones.
Project Backups
Voloco 9.13 introduces automatic cloud backups for your Voloco projects. Once enabled, Auto Backup runs at various times while the app is open, as well as in the background, ensuring you can access your projects across devices.
Project Backups are included with Voloco Premium (up to 20 project backups) or available as a standalone Project Backup add-on subscription (up to 1,000 project backups). Your projects automatically back up in the background, so you never lose your work - and you can access them on any device where you're signed in to your Voloco account.
For complete details on how Project Backups work, including how to enable Auto Backup, restore projects, manage backup quotas, and use backups across multiple devices, see our full Cloud Project Backups in Voloco guide.
Record Without Headphones - Now Even Better
Recording vocals without headphones just got a major upgrade. When you record using your phone's built-in microphone without a headset connected, Voloco now dramatically reduces backing track bleed in your vocal recordings.
What's Changed
Previously, when recording without headphones, the backing track would play through your phone's speaker and get picked up by the microphone along with your vocals. This backing track bleed would mix into your vocal recording, making it difficult to work with later.
Version 9.13 automatically cancels out most of this backing track interference, resulting in much cleaner vocal recordings even when you don't have a headset available.
When to Use It
While we still recommend using headphones for the best recording quality, this improvement means you can now:
- Record spontaneous ideas when headphones aren't handy
- Get cleaner results in situations where using headphones isn't practical
- Capture vocals with significantly less backing track interference
The backing track will still play through your speaker so you can hear it while recording—you'll just get a much cleaner vocal track as a result.
