What is Corrective EQ?

Every voice sounds different, and every recording environment has its own quirks. Corrective EQ will be Voloco's automatic take on how to EQ your raw vocal to sound more like a commercial recording. It will analyze your voice and apply corrections before your other effects like pitch correction and harmonization kick in - so everything that comes after it will be working with the best possible signal.

The redesigned EQ editor will give you two modes:

Corrective EQ - Voloco will automatically analyze your vocal and apply EQ corrections to bring it closer to a polished, commercial sound. Use the Amount slider to control how much correction is applied.

Manual EQ - Nine vertical faders will give you full control. Adjust the low cut frequency, individual EQ bands, and shelf to shape your sound exactly the way you want. Each band will offer up to ±12 dB of adjustment. Hit Reset to Flat any time to start fresh.

 

The Live Spectrum Display

The redesigned EQ editor will include a live spectrum display that shows exactly what's happening to your vocal in real time. Watch the frequency response curve react as you record or play back your vocals - so you can see your sound, not just hear it.

How to Access the Redesigned EQ

When 9.19 launches, access the EQ editor the same way you always have - tap the EQ icon in the performance view, or tap a vocal segment in Edit View and select EQ from the menu.
